Fierce Tiger and VG.Flash have qualified for the CS:GO Asia Championships 2018, finalizing the team list for the $300,000 event.
Fierce Tiger were the first team to secure a qualifying spot in the Chinese qualifier after defeating VG.Flash in the upper bracket final on just two maps. Zhen "HZ" Huang and Bin "Savage" Liu beat their former ViCi teammates 16-9 on Overpass and then 16-12 on Mirage, sending the WCA 2017 winners to the consolidation match.
VG.Flash went on to meet TYLOO, who had beaten MFC in the lower bracket final. TyLoo's map pick, Dust2, kicked off with their opponents securing a quick 4-0 lead on the CT-side. Kevin "xccurate" Susanto's men responded well in the following rounds, but VG.Flash remained in the driving seat to close out the map, 16-11.
On Cache, VG.Flash got off to a flying start as Terrorists as they picked up a 6-0 lead. TYLOO then tightened their defence to secure an 8-7 lead, but VG.Flash had their eyes set on the LAN event and sealed the deal with a near-flawless CT-side, locking down the map at 16-9.
With Fierce Tiger and VG.Flash through to the CS:GO Asia Championships, which will run from June 14-18 in Shanghai, the final team list for the $300,000 event is the following:
